About Us
About Us
The Philomena House provides a safe, loving home for pregnant, homeless mothers through our residential program, and offers support to women in the Twin Cities facing crisis pregnancies through our St. Gianna Community Program. We empower each woman to choose life, prepare for motherhood or adoption, and build the skills needed for a hopeful future. For each mother, we strive to provide a strong foundation for life and family. For each unborn child, we offer protection and welcome by surrounding their mother with love and support.
Every client is accompanied by a Client Advocate and Life Coach throughout her stay, and our support continues afterwards. We maintain relationships with our clients. Love is the secret sauce to our success, and you can’t love people without persevering in a relationship with them.
Clients in our residential program and clients in our St. Gianna Community Program all receive the same foundational assistance. Our educational program focuses on practical life skills tailored to each client’s needs. Local professionals provide instruction in areas such as financial management, parenting, and job readiness. To actively participate in our programs, clients are encouraged to commit to their personal growth by identifying employment and/or educational goals that will help them attain long-term independence.
